Futuristic-looking white buildings, large pools of water and parkland all around: this is the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. In addition to impressive architecture and nature, there are three different ways to learn more about science here.
In the middle of the building complex is the science museum, the Museu de les Ciències Príncep Felip. It focuses on interactive learning and, for the brave, there is even a space simulator. Those who prefer to stay on earth can learn more about marine animals and our environment in the Oceanogràfic. In the largest aquarium in Europe, you can see large and small aquatic creatures, from penguins to sharks and beluga whales. If you’ve had enough of walking, a visit to the Hemisfèric is worthwhile. There you can see 3D and IMAX films. Whether it’s dinosaurs, the Amazon or the secrets of the universe, the shows invite you to dive into a new world and switch off from everyday life.
