The CosmoCaixa science museum in Barcelona is appropriately located on ‘Carrer d’Isaac Newton’, Isaac Newton Street. The museum and its exhibitions cover a wide range of scientific topics. Those who want to learn more about the universe and evolution can take an interactive tour that begins with the Big Bang and ends with research into the human brain. Those who are more interested in geology will find the 24-metre-long Geological Wall in CosmoCaixa, while the ‘Flooded Forest’ with authentic ecological and scientific exhibits is perfect for exploring the Amazon rainforest.
But even for museums rather unknown topics are not neglected here: in the mathematics laboratory, visitors can try out a lot and take a mathematical look at different areas of life. A digital planetarium and various exhibitions, such as one on 3D printing, round off the CosmoCaixa experience. Newton, who is best known for his discoveries in physics and mathematics, would certainly have approved.
